Creationism Can Justifiably Be Taught In Schools

February 12, 2007

Scientific creationism is not based on the Bible. There are numerous books that have written on scientific creationism, without mentioning Christianity or the Bible. And there have been several scientist, who after learning the scientific basis for creationism, have turned from their beliefe in evolution to a beliefe in creationism-without putting their faith in the Bible. These people changed their view based on the scientific evidence.

Scientific creationism does not go against any religion. And if you do a little research, you will find that the people who added evolution to the public school curriculum were self proffesed humanist, who openly stated that they had to promote their humanist views in public school text books.
I do not mind if evolution is taught in school. But evolution should not be taught as fact when all it is an uproven theory. Every “pre-human” being has been proven to be a hoax. We have found no transitional forms, and there is no evidence that the layers of the earth took millions of years to form.

Additionally, teaching scientific creationism is legal, and is practiced in many schools across the country. The reason that not all schools teach creationism is because the ACLU merely threatens to sue a specific school. (having absolutley no legal case) The ACLU would loose the case if the case were to commence. But schools, not wanting to have to pay the costs that are involved in trials, simply cave to the ACLU.

President Bush had the Authority to Declare War on Iraq

February 11, 2007

Some people say that fighting the war in Iraq would have been just if President Bush had recieved congressional approval to send the militart over to Iraq. And some also say that that as commander and chief of the military, he should be in Iraq fighting the war with the soldiers. But President Bush did get congressional approval (even though he did not legaly have to) and he does not have to go over to Iraq to fight with the troops. Here is why.
The first paragraph in Article 2 Section 2 of the constitution says the following:
“The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.” So President Bush has full authority over the military not congress or any military commander.
Also, Congress could stop funding the war but they choose not to.
The following comes from the first sentence from Article 1 Section 7 of the constitution: “All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.”
But most importantly even though Bush did not need it-a joint resolution was written up to fight al-Qaeda ! I found it on this link: http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/military/terroristattack/joint-resolution_9-14.html
I also found the law passed by congress allowing the U.S. military to fight againsts the Iraqi army:Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 (Public law 107-243, 116 Stat. 1497-1502)
For more information:http://www.c-span.org/resources/pdf/hjres114.pdf
And there are over 15 UN resolutions that Sadam ignored as outlined by the following website:http://www.whitehouse.gov/infocus/iraq/decade/sect2.html
Facts are facts. But the ant-Bush crowd has choosen to ignore these facts and promote lies against him.

Valentines Day Joke

February 10, 2007

I thought this joke was funny…

A woman was taking a nap on Valentine’s day afternoon. After she awoke, She told her husband, “I just dreamed that you gave me a gorgeous necklace for Valentines Day! What do you think it means?” “You’ll know tonight.” he said. That evening, her husband came home with a small package for her. Thrilled, she opened it and found a book titled “The Meaning of Dreams.”

This joke comes from http://prairiehome.publicradio.org/
